METRO FARMING FILM PROJECT
Metro Farming Film Project was the video production entity created to produce the documentaries Sweat Equity
and In The Footprint Of The City. The film explores the social. economic, and historical significance of urban agriculture or metro farming upon the landscape and people of the greater metropolitan Los Angeles region. Sweat Equity is an hour-long documentary that documents the community garden history and movement in Los Angeles from the 1970s until the re-building and healing efforts following the 1992 civil unrest in the city due to the aftermath of the Rodney King trial.
In The Footprint Of The City is a three-part, three-hour series that investigates the past, present, and future of urban farming within the greater metropolitan Los Angeles area.
